NEW ZEALAND PRINCIPALS' FEDERATION PRINCIPLES
| • | A successful publicly funded education system will influence and contribute to a prosperous country |
| • | Schools have a social responsibility to foster and support local communities to provide a safe, nurturing environment that maximises educational opportunities |
| • | Collaborative and constructive working relationships between the education sector and government are critical to the successful implementation of education policy |
| • | Schools will receive fair, equitable and adequate resourcing to enable them to achieve agreed educational aims and outcomes |
| • | Responsibility for the public investment in education should be transparent and trustworthy |
| • | Children should be equipped with appropriate lifelong competencies |
